This majestic 18-inch Panchdhatu sculpture portrays Lord Ganesha in his rare Nritya form, captured mid-dance, exuding vitality and divine rhythm. Traditionally seen as the remover of obstacles, here Ganesha also becomes the embodiment of joy, creativity, and auspicious beginnings. The lively posture, with one leg raised and body balanced in dynamic movement, conveys energy that radiates through space.
Made using the lost-wax casting process, the sculpture begins as a detailed wax model, later transformed into Panchdhatu, the sacred alloy of copper, brass, gold, silver, and iron. This five-metal blend is believed to channel cosmic energies, making each piece both spiritually resonant and physically enduring.
The sculpture’s detailing is a testament to artisan mastery: Ganesha’s bejewelled crown and layered ornaments shimmer with fine chiseling; the sacred thread across his torso recalls ritual purity; and his multiple arms hold divine emblems of wisdom and prosperity. The broad lotus-petal base anchors the figure, representing purity arising from the earth.
