This 24-inch Panchadhatu idol portrays Lord Krishna in his most enchanting form, standing in the tribhanga pose with flute in hand, captivating the universe with his divine melody. The elegant posture, with the body bent in three graceful curves, symbolizes rhythm, beauty, and eternal harmony.
Hand-sculpted using the sacred lost-wax process, the idol is first shaped in wax, cast in molten Panchadhatu (a five-metal alloy of copper, brass, gold, silver, and iron), and then intricately hand-finished. The antique green-bronze patina enriches the sculpture with depth, evoking the timeless aura of temple idols.
The finely carved crown, detailed jewellery, and pleated dhoti reflect centuries-old South Indian metalwork traditions. The serene smile and half-closed eyes of Krishna convey bliss and compassion, while the flute he holds reminds devotees of the eternal call of love and devotion.
Mounted on a tall lotus-petal pedestal, this sculpture is not only devotional but also a work of art, suitable for temples, meditation spaces, or as a collector’s centerpiece.
